Le président de la Fédération Egyptienne de Football (FEF), Samir Zaher, a révélé que le nouveau sélectionneur de l'équipe Olympique sera étranger et ceci à condition que le comité olympique accepte de financer cette affaire. ‘Nous avons trouvé un accord avec le Conseil national des Sports pour financer cette affaire mais nous attendons une autre contribution de la part du Comité Olympique.' A il annoncé lors de la conférence de presse qui a eu lieu le jeudi. ‘Aucun des anciens sélectionneurs ne sera nommé à ce poste mais ce sera un technicien a grande réputation.' A il ajouté. En effet le nouveau sélectionneur aura la mission de qualifier l'Egypteaux jeux olympiques de Pékin 2008.
