Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted his side's UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie against Lyon will not be easy while showing faith in his side's ability to overcome their French opponents. "The journey wasn't easy and tomorrow's game won't be easy either," Ancelotti was quoted as saying by Milan's official website on Tuesday. "The game against Lyon will be delicate. Milan are in good condition for the match and we hope to do well tomorrow night," he added. The Italian giants will face Lyon in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-finals at the Stade Gerland on Wednesday.
Stam Milan are in consistent form in the Italian Serie A as they are unbeaten in 12 successive games while Lyon are nine points clear at the top of Ligue 1 table. The Rossoneri will have to cope without back-line giants Jaap Stam, Cafu, who misses through injury, and skipper Paolo Maldini who is still recovering. The UCL is the last chance for last season's runners-up to snatch silverware this season as they were knocked out of the Italian Cup and their hopes of securing the Serie A title look slim as they trail leaders Juventus by eight points. "Milan must have the power and courage to play to the best of their ability tomorrow," Ancelotti said.
