Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged with misconduct by UEFA after making a gesture towards Benfica fans during their Champions League clash. The 20-year-old was charged for committing indecent gestures at Benfica fans during United's 2-1 defeat to the Portuguese giants, UEFA said on their official website on Thursday. The Portuguese international made the reaction to the home crowd after being substituted by United coach Alex Ferguson during the UEFA Champions League Group Stages match. Ronaldo is set to attend the hearing on the second of February and if he is found guilty he will likely serve a suspension. Ronaldo joined Manchester United from Benfica's rivals Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2003.
