Liverpool's 10-match winning streak came to an end on Monday when they were held to a 2-2 draw in the Premier League. Tunisian international Radhi Jaidi opened the score early for Bolton with a 10th minute goal before Reds skipper Steven Gerrard equalized for his side from the penalty spot in the 67th minute. Senegalese forward El-Hadji Diouf regained the lead for Bolton in the 71st minute before Luis Garcia save Liverpool blushes with an 82nd minute equalizer. The result left Liverpool in third place in the Premiership standings with a tally of 41 points, 17 points behind leaders Chelsea. Jaidi put Bolton ahead when he took advantage of goalkeeper Jose Reina's blunder and headed home as early as the 10th minute.
Bolton's Tunisian ace Radhi Jaidi Reina failed to hold on to a Stylianos Giannakopoulos free-kick then went into a mix-up with Sami Hyypia causing the ball to ricochet to Jaidi who headed home. Gerrard put Liverpool at level from the spot seven minutes past the hour. In the 71st minute, Diouf connected Kevin Davies' cross to put Bolton in front once more.. Substitute Garcia secured a game point for Liverpool when he fired home an unstopable drive after being set-up by compatriot Xabi Alonso. In other matches, Fulham edged past Sunderland with a 2-1 victory, Middlesbrough held Newcastle to a 2-2 draw, Birmingham beat Wigan 2-0, Everton cruised past Charlton with a 3-1 win and Blackburn beat Portsmouth 2-1.
