Performance of the week An outstanding week for the foreign-based Egyptians saw Mohamed Salah put in a scintillating Champions League performance at Chelsea, netting Basel's equalizer to help the Swiss champs claim a shock 2-1 win. Salah's exploits continued for his side, and despite featuring for just 20 minutes against Sion, the Egypt marvel managed to stamp his mark by setting up Basel's third goal to help them chalk up a 3-1 away league victory. Two more Egyptians on target Another Egyptian on target was full-back Ahmed Elmohamady who netted his maiden English Premier League goal for Hull City to help them clinch a stunning 3-2 comeback victory at Newcastle. Newly-signed Geddo has yet to make Hull's roster but is expected to be named for the League Cup clash with Huddersfield this week. Egypt defender Adam El-Abd still remained confined to the bench in Brighton's 3-1 Championship win over Bolton at home. Striker Amr Zaki managed to find the net again for Kuwaiti club Al-Salmiya, hitting the opener that paved the way to a 3-1 league victory over Kazma for his second goal in three games. In Belgium, Hossam Ghaly enjoyed a fine game with Lierse after assisting his side's second goal in a 2-0 league triumph over Kortrijk, a game that saw the Ahli loanee feature for full 90 minutes. Full-back Ahmed Samir Farag started the game as well for Lierse and was replaced with 19 minutes remaining. Basel's Mohamed Elneny was not there to celebrate his team's two vital victories due to a shoulder injury but is expected to return next week. Mahmoud 'Kahraba' failed to feature as well in Luzern's 1-0 league win at Young Boys, as he was benched throughout the tie. Elsewhere in Portugal, Ahmed Hassan 'Koka' featured for the whole game in Rio Ave's 1-1 away league draw at Sporting, but didn't get his name on the score sheet. Center-half Ali Ghazal played full 90 minutes as well, featuring in Nacional's 1-0 Liga Sagres win over Académica. Unlike last week, Ibrahim Salah endured a frustrating night with Orouba after seeing his side concede a last-gasp goal to lose 2-1 to Faisali at home in the Saudi League.
