Ahmed Elmohamady is delighted to hear ‘Walk like an Egyptian' playing at the KC Stadium as he hopes to repay Hull City fans with promotion before deciding his future in the summer. The on-loan Sunderland full-back scored a late winner to earn his side a 2-1 win over Derby County a few days ago and help the Tigers move to second in the Championship table. Elmo is looking forward to more success with the Egyptian-owned club, who already have two more Pharaohs in Ahmed Fathi and Geddo. “I noticed there was an Egyptian flag in the crowd – I hope there might be a few more in the future," Elmohamady said. “Although I'm not sure if they will learn the Egyptian national anthem as it is in Arabic. But it's really good for the fans to have a song like Walk Like An Egyptian playing at the ground. “We have some fantastic players at this club and I'm enjoying it here. We have to keep doing the things that have got us second in the table if we are to win promotion. We can stay second. “Every Championship side wants to win promotion to play in the Premier League which is the best league in the world.
“At the moment I am contracted with Sunderland. After this season, we will make a decision." Geddo can score 10 After Geddo had opened his account with Steve Bruce's side, Elmohamady has reiterated that his Egypt mate can exceed expectations in Yorkshire. “I know Geddo from being in the national team for three years now and I always knew he can score goals," the 25-year-old added. “I told him when he came on he would score against Derby and I am not surprised he did. It was normal and it was great for him to mark his first game at the KC Stadium with that goal. “It was important for him to get that first goal and there will be more to come from him. He is a strong, physical player who will do well for us. “If he plays the way he did against Derby, he can score 10 goals between now and the end of the season. Because he has not played for a while, he just needs game time to start again."
