Heidelberg, Germany - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has left a German hospital Saturday and his German doctor has recorded a statement on the president's health for broadcast on Egyptian television, the hospital has said . Markus Buechler, the German medical professor who oversaw his gall-bladder treatment, had spoken in English to Egyptian television and an Arabic voiceover was being prepared so the health bulletin could be broadcast in Egypt, the hospital spokeswoman said. Egypt's state TV reported Friday that Mubarak, 81, was expected to arrive at the Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh in the afternoon. Earlier this week, the doctors at Heidelberg University Clinic said they were happy with Mubarak's recovery, and that he was in good health after the strain of surgery to remove his gall-bladder. The spokeswoman said Buechler had made recommendations about Mubarak's future care, but she gave no other details. The operation was conducted on March 6 because of what doctors called "serious inflammation" of the organ.
