Sharm el-Sheikh -A fully recovered Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak arrived Saturday evening at Egyptian town of Sharm el-Sheikh after surgery in Germany. Mubarak left the plane, which landed at 6pm (Cairo time)at the airport of the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh where he will convalesce for two weeks, accompanied by his wife and his elder son Alaa. Senior state officials led the personalities who welcomed Mubarak. Heo shook hands with and exchanged hugs with some of them. Earlier in the day, Egypt's official television quoted Dr Markus Buechler, the chief medical doctor at the German Heidelberg Hospital, where the operation was carried out, as saying that Mubarak had fully recovered from the effects of the surgery. "I have, however, recommended that the president continues his convalescence back home during the coming two weeks before he gradually returns to his full and normal activirty," added Dr Buechler. Mubarak had his gall bladder and a growth from his small intestine removed in a March 6 operation at the University of Heidelberg hospital. "The president has fully recovered from the effects of the successful surgical intervention conducted on him exactly three weeks ago," his chief doctor Markus Buechler told a news conference carried by Egyptian television.
