CAIRO – Egypt's Interior Minister Mansour el-Essawi arrived at the Police Academy, New Cairo, on Wednesday to testify in the trial of the ousted president Hosni Mubarak, Al-Youm Al-Sabea website reported. The session of the trial is held behind closed doors. Mubarak, his two sons – Gamal and Alaa – former interior minister Habib el-Adli and six of his deputies are being tried on charges of involvement in killing protesters during the January-February-18-day revolt. Egypt's former top spy and vice-president Omar Suleiman testified on Tuesday in the same case behind closed doors as well since there has been a ban on the media with respect to the testimony of some former and present officials.
