CAIRO - An attempt to smuggle 3,000 Tramadol pills was foiled by authorities of Cairo Airport on Sunday, the official Middle East News Agency reported. A police officer had suspected the luggage of a passenger who was ending customs formalities before boarding a Muscat-bound plane. The passenger was found to hide the pills in black plastic bags folded within this clothes inside a suitcase. The passenger confessed the smuggling attempt saying he planned to sell the drug in Oman. The airport security has referred the passenger to prosecution for investigation.
