CAIRO - The health of ousted president Hosni Mubarak has become stable after he lost his consciousness in a hospital in the Red Sea resort town of Shamr el-Sheikh on Friday, an Egyptian official said Saturday. Mubarak suffered hypertension when hundreds of people protested outside the Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital, where the ex-president is temporarily detained, Assistant Health Minister Adel Adwai was quoted by the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) as saying. Adawi added that the date of transferring Mubarak has not been decided yet. "Chief Prosecutor Abdel Maguid Mahmoud is the one who will decide this move based on the medical report he received from a medical committee," said Adawi. Mubarak has been under custody in the hospital in Sharm el- Sheikh since the beginning of investigations over accusations of killing peaceful protesters in the massive demonstration, corruption and the abuse of power.
