CAIRO - Former president Hosni Mubarak will not be moved from a Sharm el-Sheikh hospital to a military one in Cairo because his health has deteriorated and transferring him may be life threatening, a spokesman for Chief Prosecutor said. Adel Saeed, the prosecutor's spokesman, said the Interior Ministry, which is organising the move, made the decision after Mubarak's medical team had submitted a report that determined he would be at risk if he were transferred. "The prosecution will get reports on any developments in regard to Mubarak's health," he said. "Mubarak is still in Suite 309 at the Sharm el-Sheikh Hospital," said a medical source at the hospital. Meanwhile, Chief Prosecutor Abdel Meguid Mahmoud yesterday ordered the extension of the preventive detention of Gamal and Alaa, Mubarak's sons, for a further 15 days over corruption charges. Both were questioned in Torah Prison on the outskirts of Cairo where they serve a preventive detention.
