CAIRO, July 2, 2018 (MENA) - Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar underlined the government's support for all Polish initiatives to invest in Egypt, especially in view of the interest of the two countries' leaderships in engaging in a successful business partnership. Nassar made the remark at the inauguration of the Egyptian-Polish business forum which was organised by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC). Polish Investment and Development Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski attended the event alongside a large number of Egyptian and Polish investors. Nassar noted that the establishment of a Polish industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economi Zone will be a catalyst for encouraging polish investments in Egypt. He added that Kwiecinski's visit to Egypt heralds a new stage of co-operation between the Egyptian and Polish governments and the business communities of both countries. He urged Polish businessmen to get a boon from available investment incentives in Egypt in various domains. He noted that the volume of trade between the two countries stood at about US$418 million in 2017. He added that the Egyptian government has adopted economic reform measures since 2015. Egypt's economic growth rate stood at 5.3-5.5 per cent in the 2017-2018 fiscal year against 4.8 in the previous year.
