GAZA CITY, April 19 (MENA) - Israeli gunboats opened fire on Palestinian fisherman sailing off the northern coast of the Gaza Strip on Thursday. No one was harmed. Palestinian sources said the gunboats forced the Palestinian fishermen to return ashore. The incident occurred within the context of systematic harassment, use of live fire, and arbitrary arrest of Palestinian fishermen by Israeli forces. The Israeli authorities' policy to unduly hinder Palestinian fishermen's access to Palestinian territorial waters abuses Palestine's right to their natural resources, in violation of the internationallaws.
