Health Ministry signs cooperation protocol with the Arab Council for Health Specialties
The protocol aims to raise the efficiency and refine the expertise of doctors in various medical specialties

Egypt's Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Higher Committee for Medical Specialties and the Arab Council for Health Specializations, within the framework of enhancing cooperation in the file of professional medical training.
The protocol was signed by Hossam Hosni, the Secretary-General of the Higher Committee for Medical Specialties, and Omar Awad Al-Rawas, the Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Health Specializations, in the presence of Adel Adawi, the Executive Director of the Arab Council for Health Specializations.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said in a statement on Monday, that the protocol aims to activate cooperation between the two sides, to work to raise the efficiency and refine the expertise of doctors in various medical specialties, in a way that contributes to providing health services of high quality.
He added that the objectives of the protocol include expanding the accreditation of medical specialties, and enabling the trainee to obtain a certificate of professional medical training approved by the Egyptian Fellowship Program, and the "Arab Board" approved by the Health Council for Health Specializations.
Abdel Ghaffar explained that according to the protocol, applicants for training in Egypt can obtain the Arab Board certificate by registering with the Higher Committee for Medical Specialties, or the office of the Arab Council for Health Specializations in Egypt. The committee is responsible for following up on the affairs of the doctors registered therein, and following up process of training and examinations.
