Sustainable building consultant Engineering Solutions (ES) aims to supervise the implementation of various real estate projects worth EGP 2bn in 2021.
This comes as part of the company's expansion plan in the market, by adding a portfolio of new projects to its business.
Amgad Khattab, CEO of the company, said that ES took over the supervision of implementing more than 12 projects, with investments reaching EGP 3.5bn. In these, it both obtained an LEED certificate from the US and implemented the sustainability requirements.
Khattab added that ES has contracted with Minka Development for the administrative project The Hoft in New Cairo, to implement LEED requirements for sustainable buildings in the project.
The project is constructed over an area of 15,000 sqm, and has seen investments of EGP 220m. It is comprised of offices and serviced-apartments, and is scheduled to be completed and delivered in 2023.
He clarified that the company has been working in the market for more than 10 years, during which it has obtained the global LEED certificate, and supervised the implementation of many sustainable projects. These projects meet the requirements of green and sustainable buildings.
Khattab added that the main difference between green buildings and traditional buildings is the concept of integration.
A multidisciplinary team of specialists work together from the pre-design stage to the operation stage, to improve the environmental sustainability properties of the building, improve performance and save operational costs.
He pointed out that the company focuses its business on the real estate market in general, particularly in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) and New Alamein. This is due to the volume of real estate projects that are implemented in the two areas.
