Olympic seal promotion to premier league

ALEXANDRIA: Olympic defeated Smouha 3-0 on Wednesday to seal promotion back to the Egyptian Premier League after just one season of playing in the second division.
The Alexandria-based club topped Group B with 71 points, two ahead of Mansoura.
Olympic follow Asyut Petroleum and Police Union to the elite competition.
We deserved to book our place in the first division, Olympic manager Abdel Rahim Mohamed told FilGoal.com after the match.
The club s board of directors deserves credit for supplying all our needs to fulfill our ambition.
Olympic chairman Ahmed Selim was full of praise for his players and technical staff.
The players high spirit heavily contributed to this achievement. The efforts of the technical staff were also fruitful, he told Dream TV.
Despite guiding Olympic to premier league promotion, Abdel Rahim suddenly handed in his resignation.
I m content because I accomplished my task. The board is now free to choose a new coach for the upcoming period.
Abdel Rahim did not disclose the reasons behind his surprising decision.
