CAIRO: Ismaili president Nasr Aboul-Hassan confirmed that despite sacking Ricardo's assistants, the Brazilian coach will remain at the top of the Dervishes' technical staff. The club's decision to part ways with Ricardo's Brazilian assistants fuelled rumors that the tactician might also be losing his job in the near future. The former Hilal coach's translator and the team's physiotherapist were sacked by Ismaili. The club's Brazilian fitness coach is also expected to be shown the door within the next few days. "Ricardo is one of the best foreign coaches working in Egypt, and we're already starting to gain the fruits of his work at the club. Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com. "The fact that we dropped few points in the league doesn't mean that we'll get rid of him. "He's doing a good job with the team, and he helped in the rise of new players like Ahmed Khairy. Aboul-Hassan added that the club took the decision to sack the Brazilian assistants, as the board felt they were surplus to Ismaili's requirements. "We didn't sack the assistants to cut our expenses. But we have other Egyptian personnel who can do the job better than their Brazilian counterparts. Alongside his Brazilian staff, Ricardo was appointed as Ismaili's head coach in September.
