Ahly refuse to give up on Hadari
Published in Daily News Egypt on 30 - 03 - 2008

CAIRO: Al Ahly vowed to stand firm over their rights in Essam Al-Hadari s infamous case, stressing that the most recent events will be raised to FIFA.
El-Hadari flew to Switzerland on Friday to rejoin FC Sion, in another episode of his controversial departure from Ahly.
We insist on our stance, even though we are not interested in keeping the player, we just want to preserve our legal rights, Ahly football director and assistant manager Hossam Al-Badri told FilGoal.com.
He said on Friday that he doesn't want to train with the club again, but he did not officially inform us of his recent departure.
Before leaving for Switzerland, El-Hadari said he feels he is no longer a wanted player at Ahly. It is obvious that I have no role here, that's why I decided to depart, El-Hadari told FilGoal.com on Friday.
I returned home to prove that I still want to play for Ahly. Unfortunately, the team's technical staff has clearly shown that I do not feature in their plans.
The 35-year-old goalie caused an uproar last month when he tried to join Sion without the consent of Ahly. He later on returned after seemingly learning that his legal stance wouldn't do him any favor.
El-Hadari initially thought he would invoke article 17 of FIFA rules which allows players to cancel their contracts after a protected period.
Al-Badri responded to El-Hadari s claims that he was angry with the treatment he got upon returning to the club earlier this month. His claims are personal, the club is not responsible about what he feels, he was allowed to train normally with the team, added Al-Badri.
His recent flight to Switzerland proves his dishonesty; it was all pre-planned with Sion.
Al Ahly took the case to world governing body FIFA, who are holding investigations to decide on which club should own the veteran guardian.
We informed FIFA with the latest events and we await their ruling.
