Egypt's annual inflation in November dropped to 4.1 % its lowest level since March 2006, mainly due to a significant slowdown in the growth rate of food prices, data fromEgypt's official statistics agency showed on Monday. Prices of food and drink, which have the highest weight in the consumer price index, grew 5.3 % in comparison to November 2011 but dropped a sharp 2.7 % below October 2012's figures. The overall inflation rate dropped 1.5 per cent on a monthly basis.
