A delegation of Italian nuns from Vatican City on Monday visited victims of the New Year's Eve bombing outside the Church of St. Mark and St. Peter In Alexandria. The visiting delegation visited the victims at Alexandria's East City and Mary Marcos hospitals. According to Bishoy Makram, who accompanied the nuns on their visit, arrangements for a second visit are currently being made that would include a delegation of nuns from Argentina, the US, Italy and France, along with members of the Italian consulate in Alexandria. The visit coincided with a similar visit by a second delegation that included representatives of the Misr al-Fatat, Social Justice and Nation political parties. East City Hospital Deputy Director Dr. Sheriff al-Agmi said that four people inured in the blast had been discharged on Tuesday morning, noting that the six remaining cases were all currently in stable condition and were expected to be discharged this weekend. Al-Agmi went on to dismiss rumors that the hospital was suffering from a shortage of blood. He lauded citizens who donated blood at the hospital following the attack, noting that the hospital had to turn people away at one point as donations exceeded the capacity of the hospital's blood banks.
