In a meeting Wednesday, the liberal opposition Wafd Party's executive office declined a planned visit by shadow parliament members to party headquarters. “The executive board has the final say,” said Wafd Honorary President Mostafa al-Tawil. Party Assistant Undersecretary Ahmed Auda said the executive office declined the visit because the party may have policies that contradict those of the shadow parliament. “The decision was taken by a majority of seven votes against two votes and four abstentions,” he explained.
