Sahar Nasr, Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, held a meeting with Hafez Ghanem, the Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa, and Merza Hasan, the Executive Director of the World Bank Group, with existence of Ragi El Etreby, Egypt's Executive Director at the World Bank, on the sidelines of Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al Sisi's visit to Washington. The Egyptian official discussed the ways to increase cooperation between two sides on different levels, including improving the role of private sector in the development process, increasing efforts to attract foreign investment, and financing projects of small investors in Egypt. The minister agreed with WB leaders on providing sufficient support for private sector to participate in economic and social development in Egypt, and to improve economic status of the country in a way that guarantee lasting developmental process. WB praised Egypt's public sector's role and consider it as a great pillar in the process of economic and social reforms which will benefit different categories of the Egyptian people.
