'ISIS are cowards who hide behind a mask and a child' says former British commander
Published in Albawaba on 04 - 01 - 2016

An ex-commander and intelligence advisor has slammed ISIS as cowards for hiding behind a mask and a child in their latest vile video.
Colonel Richard Kemp, former intelligence adviser to the government and ex-commander of British forces in Afghanistan said: "This person, is waving a pistol about at the camera and trying to look very brave.
"This is exactly the kind of cowardice we have become to expect from people like him and the other ISIS cowards."
The terrorists reached a sickening new low by releasing a video of a young English boy hailing the cold-blooded murder of five "British spies."
The horrifying footage shows a masked militant with an English accent threatening David Cameron before the men in orange jump suits are brutally executed.
"This is a message to David Cameron , slave of the White House, mule of the Jews," the executioner says.
The ten-minute video ends with the young boy aged about five, wearing an ISIS headband and speaking with an English accent, threatening further terror attacks, saying: "We will kill the Kuffar (unbelievers) over there."
The film released by Islamic State's propaganda organisation, appears to deliberately echo the videos showing the killing of British hostages by Mohammed Emwazi, known as Jihadi John, who was killed in a drone strike in November.
The Foreign Office said it was aware of the video and studying its contents.
Government sources pointed out that ISIS has record of putting out propaganda videos that were not what they appeared to be. "It is very likely this is Daesh (ISIS) trying to deflect attention from its recent military failures in Iraq," a source said.

The latest video comes a month after Britain joined other Western countries in the military air strikes against ISIS forces in Syria.
The film shows the masked executioner dressed in military fatigues holding a gun while he delivers his chilling message to Mr Cameron.
"This is a message to David Cameron . Oh slave of the White House, oh mule of the Jews, how strange it is that we find ourselves today hearing an insignificant leader like you challenge the might of the Islamic State.
"How strange it is that a leader of a small island threatens us with a handful of planes? One would've thought you'd have learned the lessons of your pathetic master in Washington and his failed campaign against the Islamic State," the militant says.
He continues: "But it seems like you, just like your predecessors Blair and Brown are just as arrogant and foolish.
"In fact David, you are more of an imbecile, only an imbecile would dare to wage war against a land where the law of Allah reigns supreme under the justice and security of the Sharia.
"Oh British government, oh people of Britain, know that today your citizenship is under our feet and that the Islamic State, our country is here to stay and we will continue to wage jihad, break borders and one day invade your land where we will rule by the Sharia."
"As for those of you who wish to continue fighting under the banner of Cameron on the minimum wage, we say to you to ask yourself, do you really think your government will care about you when you come into our hands?"
The killer than accuses the Prime Minister of "abandoning" the "spies" and warns Britain will "lose this war, as you lost in Iraq and Afghanistan."
Downing Street said it would not be commenting.
The footage then shows the five "spies" kneeling on the ground in front five masked gunmen. The are forced to "confess" spying for Britain before being brutally executed.
The first victim, who is just 17, says: "My name is Abi Mohamad Abd Al-Ghani, I was born in Raqqa in 1998.
"I firstly went to Turkey where I met Abdelrazzak (another of the victims) and we agreed to work together. He gave me a small camera and I started sending reports from inside Raqqa city.
"After that, I found out that the videos I had recorded were shown on Orient TV and BBC News."
The second introduces himself as Hael Marwan Abdulrazzaq. He says he is 40-years-old and repairs air conditioners.
"I once received a small camera, I would give it to my father in Syria, he would film and then I would take it from him and hand it to a Volkswagen driver who would send it to Turkey," he says.
The third prisoner introduces himself as Faisal Sheikh Ahmed Hamoud, 25 who lives in Raqqa. He was paid $2000 for information and asked to set up an internet cafe and provide information on Daesh .
The fourth man is called Omar Hamoud Al-Jafaar, he was paid $700 to set up an internet cafe.
The video ends with the young boy saying: "We will kill the Kuffar (unbelievers) over there."
An estimated 700 Britons have travelled to Syria and Iraq to support or fight with Islamic Jihadis. About half are thought to have returned to the UK.
Last night Colonel Richard Kemp, former intelligence adviser to the government and ex- commander of British forces in Afghanistan, said the latest video would be an attempt to recruit more support from British Muslims.
"The obvious point is that ISIS recognise the value to them of having the person with a British accent to appeal to British Muslims to join them.
"No doubt there will be subsequent appeals to British Muslims to attack other British people - that's how they get support from a small number of British Muslims," he told the Mirror.
He added: "The inclusion of a child is designed to shock us as it has done in previous videos of children holding heads up and things like that. Clearly British people have a great deal more respect for children than do the so called Islamic State.
"This ISIS person also makes the point that they want Britain to be ruled by Sharia law - another attempt to appeal to British Muslims, who believe in Sharia."
Colonel Kemp said British intelligence would be examining the footage to try to identify the individuals.
"We don't know who the people being executed are. No doubt British intelligence has agents out there and it is possible they were involved - we just don't know.
