Amal Clooney, barrister and wife of Hollywood actor George Clooney, has made an 11th-hour bid to save the lives of Libya's Saif al-Islam Qaddafi and former intelligence chief Abdullah Al-Senussi after a court sentenced them to death, reported Britain's Daily Mail on Saturday. The son of the former Libyan president, Muammar Qaddafi, and al-Senussi were tried in a Tripoli court, which found them both guilty for crimes against the Libyan people, and gave them Clooney reportedly had a leading role in the bid for the intelligence chief to have his case heard by judges from the International Criminal Court, which has no death penalty.
