Falaki Theatre American University in Cairo, Downtown Campus, 24 Falaki St, Downtown Cairo, Tel 012 8872 1446 Out of Cage, an experimental work of contemporary musical theatre in which the audience determines the work path and compositions. The show is displayed by Wael Sami Elkholy and Pascal Viglino within the activities of a workshop on multi-disciplinary musical theater in collaboration with the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia. People choose from 11 Tarot Cards of Maát-Ra – goddess of justice and the balance of universe for ancient Egyptians. Every card has a meaning embodied by exhibitors through a music track or a theatrical music scene. These tracks sequence is based on theselected cards from people at the beginning of every show. Every show is considered a new experiment for both the exhibitors and the public, so the possibility of repeating the same show within the same order and the same tracks are not contained(Friday 21 October, 8-9.30pm).

El Genaina Theatre Al-Azhar Park, Salah Salem Road, Darassa, Tel 02 2362 5057 Circ'Us, is a series of sketches combining circus, street theatre, music and singing, and is a product of a three-week arts residency in the Nile Delta which brought together 20 artists from France, Germany and different parts of Egypt. The show is for audiences of all age groups. Mixing acrobats, street theatre, aerials, juggling and live music, it brings 20 artists coming from France, Egypt and Germany to work together for the first time: gathered in a 10 day residency in Port-Said, they put up a show that will tour from 8 until 18 October, passing through 10 different cities. In each city, the artists will animate workshops for children and teenagers before the show.
