Egypt's president approves cabinet's resignation
President's statement expresses 'gratitude' for cabinet's hard work

Hours after Egypt's interim Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi appeared on state-run TV and announced the resignation of his entire cabinet, interim President Adly Mansour has issued a statement accepting the end of the ministers' tenure.
"The president would like to express his gratitude and appreciation to doctor Hazem El-Beblawi for accepting to lead the cabinet ... at a very critical and hard time following the 30 June revolution," read the statement issued late on Monday from the president's office.
Mansour further expressed his appreciation to all members of the cabinet "for all the national efforts they exerted."
A prominent economist and politician, El-Beblawi was named prime minister last July following the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi and his prime minister Hisham Qandil's government amid mass protests on 30 June.
