Egypt's criminal court has acquitted Hosni Mubarak's two sons Gamal and Alaa, and his last prime minister, Ahmed Shafiq, in squandering public funds and facilitating the illegal sale of state land on Thursday. Shafiq, also an ex presidential candidate and Mubarak's former aviation minister, was being tried for facilitating the sale of 40,000 metres of land owned by the Association of Pilot Officers to Gamal and Alaa Mubarak at a lower than market price. Shafiq was being tried in absentia. He is currently in Dubai, having left Egypt after the case was opened. Gamal and Alaa Mubarak still face several corruption charges. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/89514.aspx
