The Southbank Centre, championing the arts in London, will dedicate 15 September a full day to the Arab revolutions, bringing together a group of artists and activists to delve into the art and workings of the Arab Spring. As part of Southbank Centre's London Literature Festival, the entertaining and educative event, dubbed "The Arab Revolutions: What You Need to Know," is curated by writer and activist Salma Said and hosted by renowned literary figure Ahdaf Soueif. The line-up features “Tahrir Cinema,” with screenings of films produced by journalists and filmmakers, a showcase of revolutionary graffiti, a screening of Tunisian film "Fallega" (2011) by Rafik Omrani, talks by prominent Arab activists, and a live performance by Egyptian band Eskenderella, which is known for its distinct activist spirit.
