Representative of Libya's new government visits Cairo for talks
The head of Egypt's Military Council, Field Marshal Tantawi, meets with member of the newly recognized Libyan Transitional National Council

Field Marshal Hussein Tantwai, head of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), met today with a member of the Libyan Transitional National Council (NTC), Mohamed Gebril, who is currently visiting Egypt.
The meeting dealt with the current developments in Libya and ways to strengthen the relation between the two countries in the aftermath of the fall of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
Military council member Sami Enan and Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr also attended the meeting.
Egypt has recognized the TNC as the legitimate representative of Libya on 22 August. Foreign Minister Amr announced Egypt's that decision.
