Ismaily agree to sell Ali's contract to Saudi Al-Qadisiyah Egypt and Ismaily striker Ahmed Ali is set to stay in Saudi Arabia but wearing Al-Qadisiyah's jersey instead of Al Hilal's
Ismaily management representative Khaled El-Tayeb announced on Friday that Ahmed Ali is about to join Saudi side Al-Qadisiyah next season as the latter officially asked for the services of the Egyptian star this summer. The 25-year-old striker had joined Al-Hilal last January on a six-month loan deal from Egypt's Ismaily. “Al-Qadisiyah sent an official offer for Ali's services and we have no reason to refuse the offer,” Al-Tayeb was quoted as saying on Al-Arabia.net. The Dervishes' official reiterated reports that Cairo giants Zamalek revoked their interest in contracting the player after appointing former Egypt national team coach Hassan Shehata to succeed Hossam Hassn in leading the team, since they no longer have enough to afford him. “Ali's fees will solve our financial crises,” he added. The Saudi website Al-Arabia.net claimed that Al-Qadisiyah offered Euro 1 million for the services of the Pharaohs' attacker but Ismaily management will ask for Euro 2 million for offloading Ali during the summer transfer window.
