DAKAHLIA, Egypt: During a conference held by the salafist al-Nour Party, Islamic preacher Hazem Shoman stressed the necessity for Egypt to be ruled by people who know the law of God. Shoman said everyone will be questioned regarding their support for God's sharia on judgment day, just as they will be about praying and fasting. He criticized secularists appearing on television and violating Islam's rights. Shoman said, “The case is not only that the former government was stealing our money, but also that God's sharia was not applied in Egypt.” He said alms, one of the five pillars of Islam, may cancel the ministry of supply. He added that alms on crops would also be enforced, which means poor Egyptians will always receive part of the stock the entire year. He also said secularists are the corrupt part in society, posing the question, “Who are the supporters of God's laws nowadays?” “We need to show the west and secularists that Egyptians choose Islam and God's sharia to rule them,” said Shoman.
