For the second time, military council supporters in Abbasseya Square started to distribute a petition in Tahrir Square to gather the biggest numbers of signatures of those supporting Egypt's ruling military council. They wanted to send it to the military council to prove that 77 percent of Egyptians are supporting the military council to continue in power and rule Egyptian affairs until the end of the transitional period. It is worth mentioning, the military council's supporters gathered 20,000 signatures and delivered them to the principals of the military police in Abbasiya Square last Friday November 25. They intend to continue gathering signatures on Friday December 2 to prove their support to the military council and Egypt's Prime Minister al-Ganzouri's government. A total number of 200 people organized a march from Al-Abbasi mosque in Shbein el-Koom city heading to the Menoufia cabinet to support the military council. The demonstrators repeated cheers and chants supporting the military council and al-Ganzouri's government. It was mentioned this is the first time for el-Abbasi mosque to be the starting point of a march opposing the demonstrations in Tahrir Square. Dozens of South Sinai youths and Bedouins went out in a protest supporting the military council, where hundreds of youths, sheikhs and Bedouins called on for a peaceful demonstration. Their demonstration started from el-Mansheya mosque heading to the South Sinai cabinet to announce their support to the military council with Egyptian affairs. The same scene was repeated in other cities including Abu Radees and Ras Sedr while Sharm el-Sheikh didn't witness any demonstrations. Arabic here and here and here. here
