Today Egyptians across Egypt have planned to demonstrate in a 'Second Friday of Anger.' 1700: Reports of fireworks in Tahrir Square. 1650: SHARM EL-SHEIKH: Demonstrators outside the Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital, where Egypt's deposed president is being held, have moved closer to the hospital's gates. 1646: SOUTH SINAI: Around 1,200 army Bedouins closed the Taba-Nuweiba road because of demonstrations for the Second Friday of Anger. 1640: Former Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Habib told Youm7 that the Brotherhood's decision not to participate in today's demonstrations was a "political mistake." He criticized the statements of various Islamic groups calling on their members to boycott the Second Friday of Anger. He also condemned those who said today's demonstraions in Tahrir were about seculars and liberals against Islamic movements or Islam. He said he wanted to participate in today's demonstrations but was unable to for health reasons. 1625: Residents of Damietta staged a protest in Tahrir Square calling for the closure of an ammonium plant in Damietta. 1546 : Pro-military demonstration in front of the Platform in Nasr City called for changing the curfew from 12 A.M. to 3 A.M. to ban media publishing on corruption cases the investigations are over. The demonstrators criticized presidential nominee Mohamed al-Baradei. Military forces prevented likely clashes between some of the demonstrators and a Salafi man. 1523 : There is a division among the Tahrir Square demonstrators. Some decided to leave Tahrir Square by 6:00 P.M., while the others announced to sit-in until the demands of the revolution is achieved. 1509 : Tahrir demonstrators called for an apology from the Muslim Brotherhood as they spilt away from national unity when they announced they weren't participating in the Second Friday of Anger. The demonstrators accused Islamic activities from division from national unity. 1600 A light dusting of rain has begun in Tahrir Square, but it doesn't seem to be phasing the demonstrators. 1555 Rami Esam, known as the 'Revolution Singer,' is now singing on the main stage in Tahrir Square. 1500: QENA: Around 40 people have joined the May 27 demonstrations in Qena governorate, including representatives of the National Association for Change, Youth Revolution Coalition, April 6 Youth, and various political parties. The Muslim Brotherhood is not participating in Qena's demonstration. 1448: WADI EL-GADID: Police and military presence was intensified in Wadi el-Gadid today in front of police stations and other governmental bodies in order to prevent any clashes or riots. Police and military forces also intensified their presence in Sharqeyia in preparation for the Second Friday of Anger. 1413: Three demonstrations have begun in Cairo in support of Egypt's ruling military council, in Hussein Square, outside al-Azhar Mosque, and in front of the ‘Platform' in Nasser City. The demonstrators refused the ‘Second Friday of Anger' demonstration in Tahrir Square. 1359: MAHALLA: More than 15,000 demonstrators gathered in Shoun Square to participate in the Second Friday of Anger demonstrations. 1350: ALEXANDRIA: Tens of thousands have gathered to demonstrate in Egypt's Mediterranean city of Alexandria. 1340: Around 30,000 Egyptians have gathered in Tahrir Square. Friday sermons in Tahrir Square called for the Supreme council of the Armed Forces to hold a referendum before making major decisions, and sent a message to the Salafis calling on them to understand legitimate political activities. 1338: RED SEA: Police have launched a campaign across the governorate to arrest people suspected of being hired by the formerly-ruling National Democratic Party to instigate clashes with police or among demonstrators. 1330: FAYOUM: A people's committee to combat corruption is participating in the Second Friday of Anger demonstration in Fayoum. 1327: Several television channels are broadcasting live from Tahrir Square from 1000-1800. 1325: SHARM EL-SHEIKH: Around 300 members of the Youth Revolution Coalition are demonstrating outside Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital, calling for Hosni Mubarak to leave. Police and military forces are absent from their usual stations outside the hospital. 1320: PORT SAID: The Youth Revolution Coalition called to prosecute Hosni Mubarak as fast as possible. 1309: The new Awareness Party called on the police forces to do their duty and protect the demonstrators from thugs and violence. 1257: The Democratic Front Party called to transfer former President Hosni Mubarak and his wife from Sharm el-Sheikh to Torah Prison in Cairo. The party also called for holding a special committee in Cairo Criminal Court to publicly prosecute Mubarak for killing demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution. 1250: Friday prayers have just ended in Tahrir Square. Demonstrators chant, "Raise your head high, you're Egyptian" and "The people and the army, one hand." 1200: Four liberal parties asked the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) to secure Tahrir Square during the ‘Second Friday of Anger' demonstrations. The parties were al-Gabha Party, the Free Egyptians Party, Egypt's Freedom Party, and the Egyptian Social Democratic Party. 1154 : The April 6 Youth Movement said the security and safety of Tahrir Square is the responsibility of both the military forces and the demonstrators. 1125 : More than 15,000 demonstrators in Tahir Square raised their signs demanding to fire the Prime Minister Deputy Yehia al-Gamal who they consider as one of former President Hosni Mubarak's cronies. Demonstrators formed popular committees to man checkpoint and inspect all persons entering the square. All shops in Tahrir are closed. The youth have adopted 'legitimacy from Tahrir' as their slogan. 1045: Thoudsands have gathered in Tahrir Square. Banners expressing demonstrators' demands are hung around the square and vendors sell souvenirs and snacks. 1030: Thousands of demonstrators moving to Tahrir Square, where demonstrators are gathering for planned demonstrations. Demonstrators are calling to correct the course of the revolution, to establish a civil presidential council, and to prosecute deposed President Hosni Mubarak quickly. 1000: Minister of Antiquities Zahi Hawass announces the Egyptian Museum will be closed today and calls on demonstrators to form a human chain to protect the museum.
