CAIRO - Egyptian expatriates will start registering for the parliamentary elections on special databases Thursday, but whether they will be able to cast their ballots electronically is still to be decided by the Government in the next few days, a senior Electoral Commission source said. Chairman of the Electoral Commission Justice Abdel-Moez Ibrahim told the local daily Al-Masry Al-Youm that the Government is in contact with foreign governments to help Egyptians living abroad to vote in the next elections. He said Egyptian embassies and consulates overseas will buy special ballot boxes for the elections, to allow them to cast their votes.
