CAIRO - President Hosni Mubarak is expected to hold talks on Thursday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the means to revive the stalled Middle East peace process, according to media reports. A meeting between Mubarak and Netanyahu will be held on Thursday in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh, the German Press Agency (DPA) quoted Israel's Radio as reporting. It added that the talks would focus on the Israel-Palestine peace process, the situation in the Gaza Strip and bilateral relations between Egypt and Israel. Netanyahu phoned Mubarak on Saturday to express solidarity after a bomb attack on a Coptic church in Alexandria killed 21 people, the Israeli Premier's office said In an apparent bid to breathe life into stalled Mideast peacemaking, Israelís Netanyahu said Sunday that he was ready to sit down with the Palestinian President for continuous one-on-one talks until they reach a peace deal. Talks broke down in late September, just three weeks after they were launched at the White House, following the expiration of a limited Israeli freeze on settlement construction.
