Russian President's Special Envoy for the Middle East, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met, on Saturday, with Arab ambassadors accredited to Moscow, in order to brief them on his country's position on Middle East conflicts. The meeting was held at the headquarters of Oman's ambassador to Moscow, at the initiative of the diplomatic missions of the Arab League member countries, according to a statement issued by Russian Foreign Ministry. According to the statement, Russian diplomat briefed the Arab ambassadors on Russia's position on the settlement of the Syrian crisis, in the light of US missile attack on a Syrian air base in Ash Sha'irat near Homs, stressing that Russia's stand has not changed and it will keep supporting the legitimacy of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Meanwhile, Bogdanov made it clear that his country is fully committed to the "two-state solution" in the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, according to the statement.
