Journalists Syndicate board will hold Wednesday a conference with the members of the Syndicate's General Assembly, to discuss the latest developments in the crisis and the ongoing efforts to find a solution that will maintain the union entity and the dignity of the journalists, Al-Bawaba News reported. The meeting will discuss all aspects of the crisis, as well as a number of issues including discussing the repercussions of the crisis between the Syndicate and the Interior Ministry, and also will include the display of the Syndicate's board report about the past two weeks developments and communications to solve the crisis. The conference comes in the framework of confirming the decisions taken on May 4 meeting. The crisis erupted when Egyptian police stormed the syndicate's headquarters and arrested 2 journalists on May 1, an act which is considered to be illegal, which led to the outrage of the journalists across the nation, who had called for the resign of the interior minister and the respect of the syndicate sanctity. The conference is scheduled to launch on 1PM.
