The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will offer Sunday treasury bills of EGP 8.25 billion to reduce the country's budget deficit, Veto News reported. The bank will offer 3.5 billion pounds as 91-day treasury bills while 4.75 billion pounds will be offered as 273-day bills. Egypt's budget deficit is expected to reach 240 billion pounds at the current fiscal year, according to financial analysts. This deficit has been reduced through Arab and international aids plus treasury bonds issued on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
