Israeli bulldozers under military escort entered the Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning and leveled land in eastern al-Breij refugee camp, witnesses said. Israeli forces reportedly opened fire during the incident, although no injuries were reported. Meanwhile, there were reports that Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishermen off the coast of northern Gaza. An Israeli army spokesperson had no immediate information on the reports. Israeli maintains a "security buffer zone" along Gaza's land and sea border and frequently levels land inside and close to this zone. Israeli forces made at least 56 military incursions into the Gaza Strip last year, according to documentation by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
