Several Israeli bulldozers on Wednesday morning entered Palestinian land east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, opening fire. Witnesses told Ma'an that four Israeli bulldozers entered 100 meters onto Palestinian territory and leveled land in the area. Israeli military accompanying the bulldozers opened fire during the operation, witnesses said, adding that no injuries were reported. An Israeli army spokesperson had no immediate information on the incident. Israeli upholds a "security buffer zone" around the land and sea borderlines of the Gaza Strip but has crossed the zone to level land several times this month. Israel has made over 52 military incursions into the besieged enclave this year, and fires on Palestinians near the buffer zone on a near-daily basis. Two farmers have been shot this month while working in their fields that lie near the border with Israel, according to witness reports, while two Palestinians have been shot dead nearing demonstrations near the border fence.
