President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Friday with the executive chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab in New York, Al Bawaba News reported. Presidency spokesperson Alaa Yousef said that Schwab congratulated Sisi for the progress made by Egypt in various fields especially in the economic sector since the World Economic Forum in Davos, which was held in January 2015. Yousef added that the Sisi praised the great relations between Egypt and the World Economic Forum, stressing on the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between Egypt and the Forum during the next period. The spokesperson pointed out the President discussed with Schwab a number of investment opportunities in Egypt including the development of the Suez Canal axis project, which will promote it into a global center for maritime transport, storage and logistics services.
