Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Hossam Maghazi traveled Tuesday to Sudanese capital Khartoum in a three-day visit to discuss the Ethiopian dam issue, Al Bawaba News reported. Maghazi, who heads an Egyptian delegation, will participate in the National Committee meeting on the Ethiopian Renaissance dam, which begins on Wednesday. At least, 12 members will represent Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, with four members from each of the Nile Basin countries in the meeting, and in the presence of Ministers of Water Resources and Irrigation. Maghazi told reporters before heading to Sudan, that the meeting will discuss resolving points of argument that have not been agreed upon during the last meeting of the Committee in early July, which was held in Cairo. He pointed out that in case of disagreement between the ministers of the three countries after the issuance of a technical report by the consulting offices, an international expert will be selected to resolve this dispute and all parts would abide by his opinion.
