Egypt's security forces seized Wednesday an explosives factory reportedly owned by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist organization in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, Al Bawaba News reported. The explosives factory, based at an apartment in Khorshed district, manufactures different types of riffles and improvised explosive devices ( IEDs) used for targeting power stations and other vital institutions, police sources said. The security forces found 12 high explosive I.E.Ds, metal pipes used for rifles manufacturing, sodium-nitrate and potassium, gunpowder and 4 banners of the MB ousted president Mohamed Morsi, the sources added. On Tuesday, national security forces arrested a three-member MB terrorist cell presided by an engineer at the Suez Canal Corporation with a lot of explosives and documents proving terrorist plans against vital institutions.
