Egyptian Minister of Finance Hazem al-Beblawi said the Egyptian economy is doing alright. He pointed out that the government is investigating whether the state can afford another loan especially since it does not want to cost the state with more financial burdens with the growing public deficit. Regarding the acceptance of IMF's funding packages, estimated at U.S. $3.2 billion, al-Beblawi told Youm7 the decision regarding this issue will be officially announced in a few days. It should be noted al-Beblawi announced Egypt's government tends to accept IMF's loan after previously rejected it after the local debt became too costly for Egypt's needs to vary its loans.
