CAIRO: The Democratic Coalition for Egypt and a number of Islamic and political powers issued a statement demanding Egypt's ruling military council to disown the constitutional document drafted by Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister Ali al-Selmy. They believe the constitutional document is a violation of the citizen's sovereignty, adding the document does not authorize anyone to express their free will. They also demand the military rulers to announce a date to transfer power to an elected civil authority. The statement, signed by over 50 political and Islamic parties and movements, announced the different national and political powers insist on their demands, considering them public demands. They warned the military council if it refuses their demands, it would reflect on the obstinacy adopted by the military rulers against the will of the people. It is important to mention the Muslim Brotherhood, the Salafi Front, April 6 Youth Movement and the Islamic Coalition of Egypt's Youth all signed the statement.
