CAIRO: A group of touristic companies' owners announced via their official Facebook page the postponement of a sit-in, calling for Minister of Tourism Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour's dismissal, scheduled for November 20 as their demands are studied by tourism companies' chamber's board of directors. The owners' demands include the abolishment of suggestions to establish a Supreme Commission for Pilgrimage, amending the law organizing tourism companies' business, separating the chamber from the Ministry of Tourism so its calls are taken as obligatory rather than just advisory and giving the pilgrimage fund back to the chamber. The owners issued a statement saying they had chosen members to represent the companies' sectors in their meeting with the board of directors; they also threatened to stage the sit-in if their demands were not met within a week after the meeting.
