CAIRO: The al-Karama Party today announced that it will not participate in the demonstration scheduled for Friday, November 18, adding that it does still have many concerns regarding the constitutional principles document issued by Deputy Egyptian Prime Minister Ali el-Selmy. The Party demands that the government engage in vigorous dialogue with different political and national powers to achieve accordance and secure democratic change. “This is a particularly sensitive moment in Egypt,” al-Karama said in a statement regarding its decision to refrain from participating. “Egypt is facing many internal and external conspiracies that are elevating sectarian, political and tribal tension.” The Party also warned of attempts to divide the country and fracture the unity of national powers.
