CAIRO: Egyptian presidential candidate Amr Moussa met with researchers at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York to discuss the Arab uprisings and the future of Egypt. The former Arab League General Secretary also briefed the think tank on the transitional period in Egypt, calls for real democracy, and social and economic development and reforms, according to a statement issued by his presidential campaign organizers. Moussa responded to certain questions about the course of democracy in Egypt, protecting investments, the role of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, the future of Egyptian-American relations, the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel, and addressing Egyptian demands after the revolution.
