Wael al-Ibrashi Arabic: وائل الإبراشي Born: October 26, 1963 Wael Hassan Mahmoud al-Ibrashi is an Egyptian television presenter. He hosts the daily show ‘The Truth' on Dream TV. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Sawt Al-Umma. Ibrashi was born on October 26, 1963 in Dakahilya in Egypt's Nile Delta. He began his career in journalism at Rose Al-Youssef newspaper. Ibrashi was accused by former Finance Minister Youssef Boutros-Ghali for inciting Egyptians to reject a new property tax law that was drafted by the government in 2009. Ibrashi was tried before the criminal court. He was fined 20,000 EGP after an appeals court dropped the charges. Ibrashi plans to establishin a political party called “You are an Egyptian.”
